Our results

We want to know what impact financial cooperation (FC) has and how effective the projects and programmes are. For this reason we have assessed the actual effectiveness of completed projects since FC first began in the 1960s. In 1990 the results of these ex post evaluations were published for the first time in the form of an analysis report.

The evaluations allow us to determine whether or not a project has achieved its goals as well as what worked well and what did not, and why. The aim of this is to help us safeguard the quality of our work and learn from experience how to further improve the impact of projects. The results of these ex post evaluations are published.

Our principles

The Evaluation Department is independent for the purpose of ensuring the credibility of its investigations and assessments.
