The 2005 Financial Sector Development Conference "New Partnerships for Innovation in Microfinance" is a joint initiative of AFD, CGAP, DFID, FMO, the German Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and KfW Entwicklungsbank (KfW development bank) to celebrate the UN Year of Microcredit. Hosted by KfW Entwicklungsbank, the conference features a high level two-day discussion forum in Frankfurt am Main that explores the topic of innovative private and public partnerships in microfinance.
The conference brings together leaders in the field of
microfinance to explore ways to expand and improve microfinance
institutions worldwide. High-level representatives from private
business, government, international financial institutions, NGOs
and universities will share their valuable experience and evaluate
the future of microfinance.
